Preparing the Next Generation of Nurses
Gila Community College’s Nursing Program, based in Payson and Globe, prepares students for meaningful careers as Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Our students are trained to make a positive impact in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, schools, community health organizations, and home care.
The program leads to an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS), with the option to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) through our concurrent enrollment partnership with Grand Canyon University (GCU). This allows students to begin working toward their BSN while completing their associate degree.
Admission to the nursing program requires a separate application process, and space is limited. Early planning with an advisor is strongly recommended.
For questions about the nursing program, applications or any other nursing related question please email alayna.barr@gilac.org in Payson or megan.martinez@gilacc.org in Globe.
